Hypnosis is a state of deep physical and mental relaxation combined with a focussing of attention. This automatically facilitates a bypass of the busy thoughts in the conscious mind. Thereby allowing access to the deeper levels of the subconscious. The hypnotic state often referred to as trance, is a state in which a person is open to beneficial ideas and suggestions. For example to stop smoking or to eat healthy foods.
Hypnosis is a natural human ability which happens in a whole host of ways. It is incredibly relaxing. A very personal experience and it feels wonderful. Hypnosis can be used simply to relax, like a pleasant meditation, or it can be goal directed where suggestion is utilised to create positive change in thoughts, feelings, emotions or behaviour

My background is in Human Resources and Training. I have always worked with people and was passionate about coaching and personal development. My interest in hypnosis came after a chance encounter with one of Ireland’s leading hypnotherapists; Mr Larry Mc Mahon in 1985. I began working as a full time clinical hypnotherapist in 2007.
